Carly Roberts
Carly is a sustainability professional and writer based in New York City. She is a Senior Sustainability Consultant in ERM's Sustainability Strategy and Disclosure Practice and earned her Master's in Sustainability from Harvard University. Carly completed the Winter School in Interdisciplinary Biodiversity at Ca' Foscari University of Venice with the National Biodiversity Future Center in January '25. She also volunteers with the Climate Film Festival.

Prior to her work at ERM, Carly developed sustainability improvement scenarios for diverse projects as a freelance consultant; provided communications and project management support for Columbia University's Earth Institute Earth Networks; worked in brand partnerships and circularity solutions at TerraCycle; and designed and implemented biodiversity, urban greening, and heat mitigation projects as Sacramento Municipal Utility District's '21 - '22 Sustainability Fellow.
Before her work in sustainability, she honed a sharp eye as an editor and content assistant at Ploughshares, interned in programs at GrubStreet, and facilitated youth creative writing workshops with the UVA Young Writers Workshop. Carly was trained in writing and communications at Emerson College, where she earned her Bachelor's in Writing, Literature, and Publishing.
